The method of cleaning we use is called hot water extraction. We use a truck- mounted unit. Hot water extraction from a truck-mounted unit is the method required by major carpet manufacturers to fulfill warranty requirements. 2) Why do you charge by the square foot?
We want to ensure that you get the best value for your money. Some rooms require wall to wall cleaning while others only require traffic areas to be cleaned.
3) Others charge by the room, can’t you give me a price by the number of rooms in my home?
To provide you with a price for carpet cleaning involves several things: the degree of soiling, the type of carpet, and the square footage. If you have a room that is 450 sq and two rooms that are 100 sq, you shouldn’t have to pay the same price for each room.
4) I have my room measurements can you give me a price for the cleaning?
I can give you a price over the phone, but it will just be a ballpark figure. There are other factors that go into an inspection that I cannot provide with a phone quote.
5) How long does it take for my carpet to dry?
The carpet will usually be dry in 4-6 hours. The weather is a factor here. We ask that you limit foot traffic until the carpet is dry. Mike can provide you with some after cleaning guidelines to have your carpet dry ASAP. If you need for your carpets to dry faster, for an additional charge, we can speed dry the carpet.
6) Can you remove dog urine and stain from the carpet?
This really depends on several factors. It would be wrong for me to try and guarantee on the phone but we have several specialized methods for handling this problem. Here’s an interesting fact: The younger the dog and the smaller the dog the more likely it will come out…. The older the dog and the bigger the dog the more likely it is permanent. Hence a small puppy almost always comes out but a small 10-year-old dog is 50/50
7) I’ve heard that I should wait as long as possible before having my carpet cleaned because it will get dirty faster.
About 20 years ago when in home carpet cleaning first began, the most popular method of cleaning was “shampoo”. The shampoo left a sticky residue on the carpet that did cause resoiling. The method we use does not leave a residue, so your carpet will be free of dirt attracting residue. Waiting too long, however, will damage your carpet and possibly effect your health. 8) I don’t know if this carpet is worth cleaning it’s so old and so dirty.
Let me schedule a time to come and inspect your carpet. We can do a carpet audit and let you know what we can do to help
9) Do I need to be home to have the carpet cleaned?
Many of our customers leave a key hidden somewhere or we can drop by your work place and pick a key up from you. But we do need you or your spouse to be home the first time if only for the carpet audit. This is so that we can go over important things about your carpet.
10) Do I have to move all of the furniture out of the room?
No, you don’t. We can take care of everything for you. We will move the furniture and clean behind it then move it back in place on protective tabs or blocks that you can remove when the carpet is dry. Anything that you do not want moved gets cleaned around. WE do ask that you remove any lamps, plants, and breakables and clean off any furniture that is to be moved.
